Robot Emcees in Korean Wedding
Robots can do just about anything these days, even be the emcee at your wedding reception. It's no surprise that with robot technology growing at such a fast rate in asian countries that we'd see a robot working at someone's marriage ceremony. So, if you're a bride and groom looking for a wedding that has a taste of the Orient, or if you are having a full out asian wedding, in addition to your asian wedding favors you could have a robot!
I actually think this is really cool, but I could never talk my wife into it, and I bet many brides around the world feel the same. Kudos to the groom for finding such a fun bride that's a good sport. If you are having some far out wedding theme at your nuptials, you can balance things out at the reception with som elegant wedding favors at each guest's seat.

Working Together for a Fit Wedding
Every bride and groom want to look good for their wedding day, not just for the family and pictures, but also for the love of their life. Many brides have tried countless diets and exercise programs to get themselves into wedding shape. After all, a lot of honeymoons include bathing suits and beaches, right? The problem is, it’s often hard to stay committed to a program long enough to see results. Even for those that do stick to an exercise and diet regiment, it’s often a boring chore that gets abandoned as soon as the I Do’s are over. There is a way, however, to make the trip to fitness both easy and fun. Newlyweds can also keep the healthy habit going for the rest of their life together. The answer is dieting and exercising together. Yes, it’s amazingly simple, but it does work wonders if you give it a chance.
Decide from the start what kind of work out schedule you and your fiancée want to have. This will depend on how much work you have to do on your body, how much weight and inches you have to lose, etc. Try getting a consultation at a gym since a man’s and woman’s regiment are always different. Another fun side of this is the grocery shopping. It can be tons of fun to raid the health store together and toss out all the junk food in both your fridges. Try adding supplements to help give you a boost towards your wedding weight goal. Shopping for all of these things will be an interesting learning experience that can become a nice tradition for your new family.
Some wedding favors that can complement your healthy experience are gifts that go great in the home spa, like bath and soap wedding favors. For the blusing bride there are specific bridesmaids gifts that complement the get in shape lifestyle, so shop around and have fun getting in shape together!

The things wedding photographers miss. It's not necessarily their fault, either, so it's best to have a friend go around with a good camera and make sure to caputre several fun traditions. Make sure there are some shots of your friends decorating your car with all those crazy messages and balloons, aluminum cans, etc. It's also great to get several vantage points of what your first dance as bride and groom looks like. You can pass out disposable cameras as a kind of unique wedding favor so that several people can be getting different angles.
It's important to get pics of the wedding cake and groom's cake, but don't forget to get a shot of the whole spread of food. Perhaps you have special decorations like an ice sculpture that needs a photo op. Also, if every table has something special like a candle wedding favor, it's nice to have a picture of everyone enjoying them.

Phony weddings in Canada
Many people will do crazy things to become legal immigrants in another country. In Canada, for example, many Indian immigrants have had fake weddings so as to get a pass under the family class. This is because it's difficult for someone to get that pass under the "skilled worker" classification. Recently, the immigration officials received 42 different wedding albums from 42 different applying couples...all with the same exact pictures.
Apparently, it's a common occurance, and legally married couples are worried that their immigration status is being over-scrutinized because of these phonies.
When you really are getting hitched, you don't want your guests to think it's not for real, so make sure you give good gifts at the reception. Candle wedding favors are the perfect present beacause everyone loves a good candle, and there are some for every theme. Of couse, you can never go wrong with a simple love wedding favor. Every bride and groom want their nuptials to be about love.

As the cost of living goes up, so does the cost of every part of life - including weddings. Getting hitched has become a lavish event for many couples, so of course this caused more strain on the bride and groom's wallet. Some wedding consultants say that the cost of nuptials has gone up a staggering 100% since 1990!
For example, the gown is of course central, and designs have not gotten cheaper over the years. Bridal gown shops know that women are willing to spend a great deal of money on their big day, so nothing really stops them from charging too much. Then there's the location, both for the ceremony and reception, the food, bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen tuxedoes. It all adds up quickly. The best defense against this is to plan sensibly and search for discounts. One way to save money on the reception is by getting discount wedding favors. There are also beautiful gifts to give your guests that are cheap by their very nature, like candle wedding favors. If you put time into planning your big day, you'll appreciate it once your husband and wife.

What time of day is best for a wedding? Should you have it in the evening, or early afternoon? It's an important question because it will determine what the bridesmaids dresses, groom's tuxedo and even the groomsmen tuxes will look like. It also can affect what type of theme you want. For example, if you are looking for a luau party atmosphere for the reception, you should schedule the ceremony closer to nightfall so that it's dark and romantic for the party. Also, if you're getting themed gifts for your guests like beach coaster wedding favors, then you want everything to be near evening, too. Some presents, like silver plated wedding favors, though are best appreciated in the bright daylight, so it all depends on what type of feel you want. Just be sure to stick to proper etiquette so that you don't have the groomsmen wearing evening tuxedos for a midday ceremony.

Bridal Bellies
No, I'm not talking about brides that are overweight. I'm talking about women who walk down the aisle while expecting. Apparently, it's becoming a very common thing, especially in Hollywood. A recent survey of bridal shops said that as many as one in six brides are pregnant during their wedding. Some stars on the prego bride list are Jennifer Garner and Amanda Peet. Of course, we all know that Katie Holmes got married after giving birth and Naomi Watts is rumored to tie-the-knot this summer before she starts showing.
Naturally, wedding gown designers have risen to meet this new need and are creating dresses that will fit over the pregnant bellies. Times have certainly changed; women are working through their twenties and getting married more in their thirties with a narrow window of starting a family. Many, therefore, do it all at once.
If you're a bride and groom embracing this new movement, perhaps you could work it into your nuptial theme. You could find a place card holder with baby colors for all your guests to enjoy. You could also look into getting garden wedding favors that symbolize new life and growth.

Losing your wedding gown has got to be on the top of a "worst nightmare" list. One recently married bride in Canmore, Canada had her dress stolen when it was taken in for a cleaning. The dry cleaner had to send it away since it was a special outfit. Apparently, it did return to the store, but has since gone missing. The family is very distressed and is asking anyone in the area with any information to contact the Canmore RCMP. The gown is worth $1,200 and was designed by the newlywed's mother, so it's already a family treasure.
Situations like this simply underscore the need to save money on other areas of the nuptial ceremony. The dress is going to cost a pretty penny, so save yourself money by getting cheap wedding favors. You can get good placecard holders without busting the budget, too.

In Martinsville, Virginia they're serious about gettin' hitched. Rocky and Lisa Nelson got married Saturday at the Church of God in Rideway, but they have a big stumbling block to go over. The bride's house had burned down just hours before.
Most people see bad luck on their big day as having rain during the ceremony or reception, or losing a veil or something. The happy couple saw this near death experience for the groom and his mom as a sign to go through with things. It's true, the future hubby saved his mother from the flames first, of course, and then went in after his tuxedo. Lisa had to laugh at the image of her fiance standing in the street in his boxers, clutching his tux for dear life.
"He is the bravest man I've ever seen in my life," she said.
Fortunately, she had left her wedding gown at the church.
The fire department officials were trying Monday to determine the cause of the fire. This proves how quickly things in life can literally be taken away. Get some inexpensive favors and don't spend too much on this first day of your marriage. Just be thankful that you have each other. Oh, and if you happen to have candle wedding favors or a big unity candle....just be careful around flames, that's all I'm saying.

A surprising trend for engaged couples these days is to get married in a graveyard. Many may find this creepy, but it’s just the ticket for those that are a little different or just have unique needs. Not all cemetery brides and grooms are goth enthusiasts. In fact, one couple in California chose the local boneyard simply because it was a beautiful place and closest to the reception location. However, the groom’s grandparents were reportedly present at the ceremony…even though they were dead. Yes, the couple got married in the same place his family members were buried. A little weird, isn’t it? However, the cemetery manager says that there are as many as four weddings a year held at the site. I bet you could come up with some unique wedding favors for that group. Still, since so many graveyards already come with wonderful floral decorations, one could argue it’s a good place to get hitched. Maybe even garden wedding favors could work with the theme.

We men are usually concerned with things like budget and cost, and for good reason. In the UK, researchers have found that weddings are taking a huge chunk out of people’s wallets. The average guest spends about 340 pounds on every wedding. That’s about $670.00 USD! The US may be a different place, but getting married is something every culture in the world celebrates, so everyone has to be careful not to bust their budget. The bride and groom can help their guests by having a varied gift list with several inexpensive choices. I would suggest the couple also find some inexpensive favors for the reception, so as not to spend too much themselves. It’s true that the day of holy matrimony is a once in a lifetime event, but you don’t want friends and family to have financial problems for your sake. You can illustrate this to them by giving practical wedding favors they can use like salt and pepper shaker.

Remember Jennifer Willbanks, the infamous runaway bride that escaped her planned wedding in Georgia a few years ago? Of course, everyone still remembers her. The Albuquerque police are hoping to capitalize on that and have posted billboard ads with a picture of Officer Trish Hoffman, the one who found her, grabbing a veil from a woman with a wedding gown and running shoes on. They’re hoping it will bring in some new recruits. If you’re planning a bridal shower, you too can have fun taking advantage of the national attention. Guests should get a good laugh out of a funny wedding shower favor like an airplane luggage tag with a message inside that says “don’t let the bride fly away”. You could also give out little personalized coffee kits with a tag that says “for when you’re on the run”. Of course, as a former groom myself, I know that a great fear is our brides will get cold feet, so you could play on this if it’s a co-ed party. One inexpensive wedding favor idea is to give the future husband a keychain with a note that says “don’t let her have the keys”.

Planning is the most important part of pulling off a spectacular wedding, especially when it comes to flowers and decoration. Since there are no rules when it comes to wedding flowers, it really is all about what the couple, well mainly the bride, wants and can afford. Decorating options are limited only by the imagination and even the most outrageous floral images can be made to fit practically any budget, if you're willing to research the many options and ideas that are out there.
Your bridal party can get involved to help generate new ideas which you probably have never thought about. Besides, being a help to the bride is part of their responsibilities so why not get them involved. Don’t expect the groom to help. The most he'll probably care about is that you stick within the amount that has been budgeted.
You want to give yourself plenty of time, so begin planning the wedding flowers at least 6 to 12 months prior to the wedding date. The type and color of your flowers are one of the things you will want to consider while you are choosing the wedding attire you will probably want the floral arrangements to complement the overall color scheme and theme/look and feel of the wedding. Bridal magazines are full of pictures of bouquets so that's a good place to go for ideas. It is also important to keep in mind the types of flowers that will be in season at the time of your wedding. Choosing flowers that are readily available is one way to keep costs under control.
Remember, besides boutonnières and bouquets for the wedding party favors, you can also make flowers and decorations part of the wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Pew bows, arrangements for the altar, head table, cake table and gift table, as well as centerpieces for all the guest tables should be considered. These will definitely add to your costs, but they're also areas where you can really get creative.
For budget control use the bridal bouquet as part of the decorations for the head table, the gift table or the cake table. Most of the times, once the formal photographs are complete most don’t carry their bouquets around anyway. Using less expensive balloons or candles as centerpieces is another way to reduce cost. Making your own pew bows can be fun and a cost saver even if you are not good at crafts. Another great idea is to add more 'filler' to your floral arrangements by using more greenery, baby's breath or tulle.
As you can see, it really is all in the planning. Finding a capable florist who is able to give life to your thoughts and ideas is your next step. Selecting a florist early in the planning is very important. Even the most creative florist will be limited as to the amount they will be able to handcraft. When you sign a contract with the florist you choose, make sure that you read over the contract carefully. Things to look at are the number and type of arrangements you agreed on, the type of flowers to be used as well as the details on the delivery. Make a record of the amount of the deposit as well as the payment schedule.
